Create a Facebook Group

Use this tutorial to create a Facebook group which will invite all or some of your friends to vote for your songs on Zoxsy. This will take between 5-30 minutes depending on how many facebook "friends" you have.

Step 1

After logging into Facebook, click the Profile button at the top of your page

Then click the info tab.

Step 3

Click "See All" under the groups section of the info page

Step 4

At the top of the list of groups you are a part of, click the "Create a New Group" link.

Step 5

Enter your group name. Here is our suggested group name (don't forget to change "me" to your own name):

Enter your description. Here is our suggested description (try changing "my name" to your own name to make it more personal. Also, don't forget to change the "1" at the end of the link to your own personal Zoxsy ID number.

Enter your group type. Try entering Music and your most dominate genre, or songwriting.

You can probably skip the rest of the boxes if you want.

Step 6

Choose a picture for your group and uploaded it.

Select the URL from the text box below and enter it in the "website" box. Make sure to change the "1" to your own unique Zoxsy ID number. See step 5 for more directions on how to find that number.

All the other default settings for the group are great, so just leave everything else as is.

Click Save at the bottom.

Invite your friends to join the group. You have to click each friend you want to invite which will take about 5 minutes per 1000 friends. It's pretty boring work, but doesn't really take that long. Your friends will see the link to Zoxsy when they view the invitation and hopefully join to vote for your songs. You can add the following text to the personal message too (don't forget to customize this text like you did for your group description)

Step 9

After your friends have joined your Facebook group, you can make any of them administrators which will allow them to invite their friends to join too. Go to your group's page and click Edit Members from the right tool bar.

Step 10

Select the friends you want to make admins and shoot them an emailing asking them to invite their friends to help. Here is a sample email message you could send them (we recommend you only ask really big supporters to help with this step)
